The need for foodbanks and other help has sadly increased in recent years. 

Foodbanks

There's 2 foodbanks in Dumbarton. You should check if you need to be referred to the service first.

West Dunbartonshire Community Foodshare

West Dunbartonshire Community Foodshare are able to provide food parcels to those that need it.​ You can either be referred to the service, or refer yourself. ​

 

You can access the service by texting HELP to 07483 373031 or by calling 01389 764135 from Tuesday to Friday. ​

Food for Thought

Food for Thought are able to provide food parcels to those that need it.​ You can either be referred to the service, or refer yourself. ​

 

You can access the service by calling 01389 743908 from 10am to 5pm daily.

Clothing banks

There's a clothing bank open to people who need help with clothing. Items are not guaranteed and so you might want to contact them in advance to see if they're able to help.

Babybank

West Dunbartonshire Community Foodshare runs a babybank. This is where they provide essential baby clothes and equipment to families in need.

Christmas toys

Local foodbanks also run Christmas toy banks. This is where they provide gifts to children at Christmas time that have been donated by the community.
