About Dumbarton.net
Dumbarton.net is a project for Dumbarton with an aim of being the online community hub for the town.

It hopes to be the one stop shop for everything Dumbarton. Providing relevant information to local residents, visitors and those simply passing through.
​
The website was first launched in November 2022 by local resident Ian Sinkins.
​
Intended as a long-term project, the website launched early so that it could host cost of living advice for town residents during the peak of the cost of living crisis that winter.
​

The website has also been active in local community campaigns. The #SaveTheDumbuck campaign launched with the website helped raise awareness of the building's de-listing and delivered almost 100 signatures against the proposals.
​
In 2024, the website launched the Visit Dumbarton. This is intended to provide a tourism focused online space for the town and to encourage more visitors to our attractions.
